Ever feel as though your running on empty? You want to be in the overflow but your cup is just not as full as you would like. We have a promise of daily renewal that comes with a condition. We must eat and drink.
When Jesus was teaching His disciples to pray, He taught them to ask for daily bread. When the Israelites were in the desert Jehovah Yahweh provided fresh Manna for them daily. God, our Father knows we have need of Him. He created us to be dependant upon Him.
It is when we do not eat and drink properly, recieving the spiritual nutrition necessary that we begin to run on empty. I for one seem to learn this lesson in multiple facets often. You might say I am allow learner in this area. However one thing I have learned is that I cannot give away what I do not have. Therefore the more I want to give out, the more I must recieve.
God, our Father knows exactly what we have need of. Sometimes that flows directly from Him, and at other times it comes through another person. Our measure to recieve can be called our capacity. At times I find myself sensing I need something more or different than I am able to percieve or chew. That is when I begin to ask if I need a pour to come from another voice.
People carry different Anointings. The Lord has taught me to know when I need a fresh refill both of His Spirit, and of divine connections. Different voices appointed by God can bring breakthroughs to set us on a new pathway creating our next level of growth.
As we renew our minds, refill ourselves recieving from the Lord we must remain open to be led by the Spirit. At times this will include being led to another to give us ‘food and drink’. Still coming from the Father, but He causes us to eat from a different table or drink from a new cup.
So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. 2 Corinthians 4:16
May God bring the right vessels into your life in this time. May you recognize the gentle voice of the Holy Spirit saying ‘come’ even if you have never done that before. It is time for New!
