We have heard this word a lot the last couple of years. Seems as if many have been through transition after transition in multiple areas of their lives. So what does transition mean?
Transition- the process or period of changing from one state to another, from one condition to another. Change, move, passage, adjustment and even metamorphosis are all words that mean the same as transition.
sands of time fall at a pace…
Many of these words prompt an emotional response in the majority of people. Some like change and get excited, always looking for something new and thrive at adjusting to the new things. While others strongly dislike change and will do anything to avoid it.
Some get anxious during times of passage or even fearful of change that directly effects their life. Transition can be very difficult for some people. I personally thought I was a person who liked change until the last few years. So many transitions have effected my life that it seems as if I’ve lived in one long five year process of transition in one arena of my life. Children becoming young adults, graduating high school, starting families of their own can be very exciting but also very emotional. Careers, jobs, even locations can be tough transitions for many.
I write all of this to encourage others. Many of us go through transitions so quickly that our emotions can’t catch up to the now. To keep our soul healthy we must learn to process in prayer and be gracious in understanding. Some are easy going as if they are not at all effected by transition, while others need time to process and adjust.
God said, get wisdom, it is the principal thing and in all your getting, get understanding. It is important that we take time to breathe. Time to process, time to be still in His presence. Because most all of us live in households with other members, we should be gracious in understanding how we all cope with transitions.
Whether spiritual, familial, financial, or emotional transitions can take weeks or months, or even years. Not every person processes these at the same speed. Communication and understanding is key. Western cultural has taught us to go, go, go. We have become such a quick paced society that many have gone into a stressful, survival mode to cope.
God said, BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD. I believe He meant, slow down, breathe, think quietly. Reflect and pray quietly in His presence, especially during times of transition. Know Him in the still moments, meaning being intimate with His Spirit will bring peace and clarity. Change may excite you or terrify you; either way God never sleeps nor slumbers. True peace flows from the Prince of Peace, just breathe. Take time to reflect.
What transitions have you gone through the last couple of years?
Do you need healing from any hurts, wounds, traumas?
“Jonathan, Saul’s son, had a son who was lame in his feet. He was five years old when the news about Saul and Jonathan came from Jezreel; and his nurse took him up and fled. And it happened, as she made haste to flee, that he fell and became lame. His name was Mephibosheth.“
His name means exterminating the idol, or, dispelled of shame (that is, baal). His destiny was to be one who destroyed idols in the nation of Israel and return worship to YHVH the one, true, God.
We are introduced to Mephibosheth when he is five years old. He is being taken care of by a nurse which seems to suggest something happened to his mother. Where is she? Why is she not with her son?
We know his father and grandfather are in battle against Israel’s continued thorn in the side, the Philistines. But where is his mother? Most likely she has died. What we do know is she is not in the picture.
Mephibosheth is the son of Jonathan, the grandson of Saul the first king of Israel. It is his heritage to one day be king. It is rightfully his, no one can take that away from him. With the death of his father and grandfather he is next in line. Which is a blessing and a curse. He is next in line to lead a nation and with a heavenly directive to destroy idols in the land, but, it also means a lot of people have now marked him and want him dead so that he does not ascend to his rightful place.
Mephibosheth’s life was full of trouble despair, disaster, anxiety, and trouble. I know many can relate.
Because of his nurses fear of what might happen- paralyzed
All by the age of 5. The nurse had a good reason to want to run. Fear cause us to act carelessly. Fear paralyzes. Fear makes us act irrationally.
The next chapter
Mephibosheth doesn’t start out life with a great hand being dealt to him. He was without family, and crippled. Where does he go from here.
The next time we see Mephibosheth he is living in the home of Machir Ben-Ammiel, a powerful gadite. While here, Mephibosheth gets married.
Mephibosheth obviously never acquired his own home or was very independent as he had to live with Machir. Even though he should have been king, he didnt even own his own home.
A place called Lo Debar
12 years Mephibosheth lives in a place called Lo Debar. Destined for the palace, wound up in Lo Debar.
Lo Debar is probably the same place as Debir in the land allocated to the tribe of Gad in Joshua 13:26. The name Lo Debar means no communication , no word, no pasture, a place of nothing.
So many who are destined for greatness settle for Lo Debar
Mephibosheth was cut off from his destiny. Both spiritually, as well as, physically.
Mephibosheth life has obviously not went as planned to those present at his birth. Can you hear the talk? “It’s a boy! The future king of Israel!” BUT that’s not how the story played out. So, what’s next?
2 Samuel 9 another person steps into the life of Mephibosheth. The king of Israel, by the name of David. Even though Saul and David had a shaky past, David loved Jonathon and wanted to show kindness to his relatives. David and Jonathan had a covenant and that meant something to David.
Then Jonathan said to David: “The Lord God of Israel is witness! When I have sounded out my father sometime tomorrow, or the third day, and indeed there is good toward David, and I do not send to you and tell you, may the Lord do so and much more to Jonathan. But if it pleases my father to do you evil, then I will report it to you and send you away, that you may go in safety. And the Lord be with you as He has been with my father. And you shall not only show me the kindness of the Lord while I still live, that I may not die; but you shall not cut off your kindness from my house forever, no, not when the Lord has cut off every one of the enemies of David from the face of the earth.” So Jonathan made a covenant with the house of David, saying, “Let the Lord require it at the hand of David’s enemies.” Now Jonathan again caused David to vow, because he loved him; for he loved him as he loved his own soul.
I Samuel 20:12-17 NKJV
In II Samuel 9:2 we see it was not even known if Jonathan had any living relatives. Mephibosheth was in a place of hiding. But someone knew where he was. God always knows where we are. God sends in Ziba who was in the service of Saul who knew where Mephibosheth was.
The lame one
As Ziba was answering the kings request to know whether Jonathon had any living relatives he states that Jonathan has a son but he is lame. Why was that even mentioned? Does that affect his sonship? Does the fact that you are lame in some area affect your status as a son or daughter of the most high God? No! Lameness does not affect sonship. Except maybe in the person’s mind. Mephibosheth had lost his identity. This also caused others to see him as the lame one.
When we dont stand in our rightful identity others will never see us as we truly are.
Despite all the things against Mephibosheth, David says bring him to me. The king sought him out, in the place of nothing, in spite of his lameness, the king wanted him.
Lameness in Hebrew means maimed physically but figuratively dejected. He was physically crippled but also emotionally crippled.
As the king summoned Mephibosheth he couldnt even come on his own, someone had to go get him
We are Mephibosheth
We are Mephibosheth
We are all in bondage, crippled by actions of others. We are in a place of nothing, a place of no communication with God.
No way to get to the king by ourself.
David sent and brought Mephibosheth out of Lo Debar, our King brings us out of Lo Debar when we cant get to Him.
God chose us we didnt initially choose Him
Mephibosheth didnt know what was going to happen. In that time it was common to kill all the heirs to the throne so no one could challenge the new king.
It was not crazy to think David was going to kill him as Saul tried to kill David and now Mephibosheth was the rightful heir to Saul’s throne, a threat.
He falls at David’s feet, David tells him though, there is nothing to fear.
2 Samuel 9:8 we see the view Mephibosheth has of himself.
Then he bowed himself, and said, “What is your servant, that you should look upon such a dead dog as I?”
II Samuel 9:8 NKJV
Dont we sometimes view ourselves the same way, especially when confronted with the goodness of our King?
David foes above and beyond and heaps blessing upon blessing on Mephibosheth. He doesnt bring up his lameness, he doesnt bring up the place he delivered him from
From servant to son
Mephibosheth came back as a servant at best. A worthless, crippled, dead dog who had lost everything. But the king made him a son, eating at the kings very own table with his other sons. No longer was Mephibosheth an outsider but he was restored to the place he belonged all along- the palace. We see this same attitude in the parable of the prodigal son in Luke 15:11-32.
You haven’t lost your sonship no matter what life has thrown at you.
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:
John 1:12 NKJV
But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 2:4-7 NKJV
And he was lame in both his feet
So Mephibosheth dwelt in Jerusalem, for he ate continually at the king’s table. And he was lame in both his feet.
II Samuel 9:13 NKJV
At the table Mephibosheth lameness was not seen. At the cross we are all equal. So why does it still mention he was lame in both his feet?
The word for lame in verse 13 is a different hebrew word than at the beginning of the chapter. This one does not carry the connotation of emotionally wounded. Completely physical. Even though he still had a physical ailment he was the same as the kings sons. All were equal, eating and being cared for by the king.
Because of the love of the king Mephibosheth had been emotionally healed.
There was another Mephibosheth in the family. Saul’s son by Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, his concubine. (2 Samuel 21:8) He and his brother Armoni were among the seven victims who were surrendered by David to the Gibeonites, and by them crucified to avert a famine from which the country was suffering
One Mephibosheth was handed over to be killed the other was spared.
This is a foreshadow to another time when two people with the same name were in the same position.
Now at the feast the governor was accustomed to releasing to the multitude one prisoner whom they wished. And at that time they had a notorious prisoner called Barabbas. Therefore, when they had gathered together, Pilate said to them, “Whom do you want me to release to you? Barabbas, or Jesus who is called Christ?” For he knew that they had handed Him over because of envy. While he was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent to him, saying, “Have nothing to do with that just Man, for I have suffered many things today in a dream because of Him.” But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitudes that they should ask for Barabbas and destroy Jesus. The governor answered and said to them, “Which of the two do you want me to release to you?” They said, “Barabbas!” Pilate said to them, “What then shall I do with Jesus who is called Christ?” They all said to him, “Let Him be crucified!” Then the governor said, “Why, what evil has He done?” But they cried out all the more, saying, “Let Him be crucified!” When Pilate saw that he could not prevail at all, but rather that a tumult was rising, he took water and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, “I am innocent of the blood of this just Person. You see to it. ” And all the people answered and said, “His blood be on us and on our children.” Then he released Barabbas to them; and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered Him to be crucified.
Matthew 27:15-26 NKJV
Barabbas’s first name according to Josephus the Jewish historian was Yeshua. As many know the name of our Messiah in Hebrew was Yeshua. Another interesting fact is Barabbas name breaks down in Hebrew to Bar- son Abba- father. So his name is literally, Yeshua son of the father.
One handed over to be crucified for the sins of others while one was set free.
Thank you Yeshua Son of the Father for taking away my sins!
In the book of Matthew, Yeshua quoted the same scripture twice from the book of Hosea.
Then he added, “Now go and learn the meaning of this Scripture: ‘I want you to show mercy, not offer sacrifices.’ For I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.”
Matthew 9:13 NLTBut you would not have condemned my innocent disciples if you knew the meaning of this Scripture: ‘I want you to show mercy, not offer sacrifices.’
Matthew 12:7 NLT
In the first scripture He quotes Hosea and then says He came to call sinners not those that think they are righteous. The pharisees had a form of godliness. They looked the part, they acted the part. Yeshua said they were all cleaned up and looking good but He knew their heart condition and said on the inside they were dead and full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which appear beautiful on the outside, but inside are full of the bones of the dead and every kind of impurity. In the same way, on the outside you seem righteous to people, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.Matthew 23:27-28 CSB
The teachers of the law…lawless. Those that seemed to be the perfect example of law keeping, without the law in their heart. The ones that condemned Yeshua for breaking the law were really just playing a part, they were actors, hypocrites.
There are many pharisees walking around today
We have many modern day pharisees today. They look the part, the talk the talk, they even act like they got it all together but they are missing the most important part. They have no relationship with the Lord. They are having a religious experience.
One of the scariest scriptures in the Word of God says…
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in your name, drive out demons in your name, and do many miracles in your name?’ Then I will announce to them, ‘I never knew you. Depart from me, you lawbreakers! ’
Matthew 7:21-23 CSB
They had a religious experience. They even did things in the name of the Lord but it wasnt enough. Yeshua will say “I never knew you”
They never experienced intimacy with the Messiah. Of course Yeshua knew them in the sense of, He created them, He is omniscient and knows all things, He knew their heart and every detail about them but they didnt know Him. They never took the time to be intimate with Him. We can do all kinds of good works but it will never replace knowing the Lord.
Notice His last statement to these people. “Depart from Me, you lawbreakers!”
Dont be a lawbreaker
The same thing He says to the pharisees. Yeshua Himself summed up the law in two commandments.
“Teacher, which command in the law is the greatest?” He said to him, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and most important command. The second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets depend on these two commands.”
Matthew 22:36-40 CSB
Loving God with everything in you, developing a personal, intimate relationship is the most important commandment given to us. If we refuse to make this a priority we become lawbreakers!
So if we go back to the verse He quoted in Hosea it says…
I want you to show love, not offer sacrifices. I want you to know me more than I want burnt offerings.
Hosea 6:6 NLT
We see the meaning behind this scripture is exactly what we have been talking about. God is not looking for sacrifices and offerings He is looking for us to show Him love and get to know Him.
We dont serve a God in need
Yahweh does not need your offerings, He does not need your sacrifices. In fact He does not need your worship or your praise. A lot of the things He has us do is for us, not Him. We get it wrong when we think God needs His ego padded with constant praise, or He has a pride problem with the worship. No, even though He deserves all we can give and more, that’s more for us.
There is nothing He needs from us, He just wants us! His desire is for us to want, not be forced out of obligation, but want to develope a deep, intimate, personal relationship with Him.
That will then change how we react to people, how we see others, even the works that we do. No longer will we condemn the innocent or have a feeling of being righteous in our own sight.
If your not developing that relationship with Him but running around doing religious works, your doing it wrong!
What can we bring to the Lord ? Should we bring him burnt offerings? Should we bow before God Most High with offerings of yearling calves? Should we offer him thousands of rams and ten thousand rivers of olive oil? Should we sacrifice our firstborn children to pay for our sins? No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
Micah 6:6-8 NLT
Dont make it too difficult
Sometimes we make it too difficult. The Lord has asked us to love Him, do what we know is right, show mercy, and walk humbly with Him.
He may ask us to do some things that seem difficult or even impossible but if we have the first thing right, if our foundation is strong and we have a intimate relationship we will know we are not doing anything alone. God is walking with us and will work all things out…for those that love Him…
We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28 CSB
We may have some tough choices to make but with a relationship with Him we will know His voice and be able to discern what He wants us to do.
They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!
2 Timothy 3:5 NLTThis people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. They worship me in vain, teaching as doctrines human commands. ”
Matthew 15:8-9 CSB
There are people that act religious, they put on a show. They even seem to honor and worship God but their heart is far from Him. This will all be done in vain. They may get the respect of undiscerning people. They may have people look up to them for their pious life but God is not fooled and one day they will hear the words…”I never knew you. Depart from Me. You lawbreakers”
Dont let this be your story. Get to know Him. Spend time with Him. I promise if you do, you will fall in love with Him and want to know Him more and more.
Then one day you will hear…
His Lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord.’
Matthew 25:21 NKJV
If you dont know Yeshua or haven’t been putting Him first, now is the time to change that.
A week ago I was coming out of prayer when I received a text from a friend about rejection. My answer flowed with the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and for the next few days more and more kept pouring out as I recorded what the Sprit was saying to me concerning the spirit of rejection. Before we jump into the workings of this spirit, let us first establish a biblical foundation about the spirit realm. I am not going to delve into demonology. Many people may not be familiar with this topic or may be hearing about this for the first time so I want to keep this part very simple. As a launching pad, let us look at Ephesians 6:12
“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the worldly forces of this darkness, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.” This is as deep as we are going. Just enough to expose this network of darkness operating.
Out of this network, we are going to expose a more common spirit that wreaks havoc on so many today and that is the spirit of rejection.
What is rejection? It is the intentional or perceived pushing away of someone or something.
How can this spirit gain access?
-Ambivalence or complete rejection of a child in utero by mother.
-Open doors generationally. A parent(s) carrying the rejection wound projecting it onto the child causing the same wound.
-Actual or perceived events of rejection by others.
Roots and Agreements
At some point access must meet your agreement. Let me explain. A few months ago, the Lord gave me two dreams over the course of two days opening this up to me. The first dream I was carried away by a big, man stronger then me (strongman). He sat in a chair and guarded the room I was in. I felt trapped. I looked around and saw others being held against their will and it hit me. The only way out was to fight so I grabbed a weapon and pointed it at the strongman to destroy him. The next dream the following day happened while I was praying.
I was communing with the Lord and I was in such a peaceful state that I drifted fast into seeing what looked to be the bible opened. I saw large, bold, italic letters that said stronghold and immediately I was awakened and stirred.

Spirit of Rejection
Let us go deeper. A situation occurs, real or perceived, something you do or say is rejected by someone else. You now feel pained inside over it and you do nothing with it. You don’t process it before the Lord, you don’t find scripture to trade that lie for a truth, you don’t pray to forgive and bless the offender, so this event tied with strong emotion becomes fixed in your mind. Now time goes on and another situation like the first occurs, you again take no biblical steps to resolve it and the incident connects with the first and reinforces the belief you are being rejected. Over time this builds and builds until it becomes a house of lies in your mind, a stronghold. A house that provides covering for the strongman, that spirit to come and make the lie fester. Stay with me. Don’t get weirded out. I am not implying if you feel rejected you are demon possessed.
Strongholds & Strongman
What I am trying to show is your mind is like a fortress. If one part breaks down and becomes weak, the enemy can come and try and hit you on your weak side. Think of it that way. Now when this lie takes firm root in the mind, it causes the person to seek validation from others but it never is enough. It never soothes the rejected feeling deep within so bitterness begins to take root. The word says in Hebrews 12:15 that a root of bitterness defiles many. The person will then find themselves ruining relationships often rejecting others before they can be rejected and speaking against others defiling many. Do you see the collateral damage that takes place when Yeshua/Jesus is not the strongman?
The Lord kept impressing on me to study Saul and David’s life as a parallel. As I began to study the book of 1 Samuel, Saul is described as a mighty man of power, someone who not only was taller then all others but also the most handsome. It would appear that Saul probably did not receive too much external rejection yet he still had insecurity. When Samuel went to anoint Saul as king, Saul was hiding! The word goes on to tell us the Spirit of the Lord came upon Saul and his heart was changed. Early on, anyone who despised him as King, Saul did not lose his peace over. In time, we see he stops listening to the Holy Spirit and the Prophet Samuel’s counsel.
He begins growing in disobedience causing the Holy Spirit to depart and a distressing spirit to come to torment his mind. Samuel is now sent to tell King Saul that Yahweh has rejected him as king. David now enters King Saul’s life. At first Saul pulls David close until he sees the favor of both God and men that once rested on him is now on David. Remember the people saying Saul killed his thousands and David his tens of thousands? Saul was now feeling rejected by the people and he grew jealous of David until the torment drove him to make multiple attempts on David’s life for approximately 15 years.
Now what about David? The first thing we hear of David is he is a man after God’s own heart. What we first see is some forms of external rejection by his family. When the Prophet Samuel came to meet with David’s Father Jesse and to look at each of his sons to determine who the next king would be, the Lord told him not to look at outward appearance. God was looking at the heart. David was different then his brothers. They were warriors in King Saul’s army. David was a shepherd boy.
No one called him to meet with Samuel until Samuel asked if there where any more sons, then David was sent for. Another example found in 1 Samuel, Jesse tells David to take food to the commanding officers at the battlefield and bring back word to him about how his brothers were doing. This was the battle with the Philistines where we hear about Goliath. When David inquires about what is happening with Goliath, his brothers accuse him of being conceited and wicked, just wanting to watch the battle. None of this moved David.
The difference between Saul and David was David’s confidence, identity and authority was in Yahweh. This is evidenced not only in what he says on the battlefield to Goliath, but what is also recorded at the Psalms. David processed everything with the Lord and did not come into agreement with the actions and accusations of others against him being his truth unless he knew it came from the Lord himself. Saul turned from the Lord, David turned to the Lord.
Freedom in Christ
So what do we do if you realize a rejection is already operating in your life?
-Find out if it is generational. Is there a pattern in your family? Are the behaviors of a rejected person what you witnessed in your home? If so repent, denounce and break any agreements with the spirit of rejection through others or even yourself. Forgive and release anyone who has caused you to feel wounded because they themselves were operating out of this wound. Pray and repent for others in your family if they are not Christians or will not repent themselves. Stand in the gap for your family.
Sword of the Spirit
-Meditate on and declare scripture truth to combat lies. This is your sword of the spirit. 2 Corinthians 10:4-6 says For our weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds, casting down arguments and every high things that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.
Cleansing & Renewing
-Are you bitter? Are you carrying judgements and unforgiveness? If so repent, forgive and reconcile. Remember if you don’t forgive you can not receive forgiveness from the Father. Matthew 6:14-15
-Prayer and Fasting. Never underestimate the power of prayer and fasting. This is a lifestyle modeled by both Jesus and the disciples. Some go out by this way.
Power of Agreement
-Lastly. If you are still struggling, go to your leadership. Go to your trusted covering and seek out sound inner healing and deliverance counsel. There are some that flow in the gift of discerning of spirits. This can be invaluable when you find yourself not getting free. Sometimes we can break agreements and use scripture and be blinded to the fact we are still carrying unforgiveness.
Now you are free, how do you stay free?
-Yeshua/Jesus has to remain the strongman of your mind at all times. Review 2 Corinthians 10:4-6
Guard your heart and mind. Proverbs 4:23 says to guard your heart and mind with all diligence for out of it flow the issues of life. Things enter our mind and are solidified in our heart. Guard these areas as well as every gate. Your eyes, ears, mouth, give no member off your body over. Guard them.
-Daily put on the armor of God as listed in Ephesians 6:10-18. This is such a familiar verse that many don’t take heed and actually do it.
-Be found on offence not defense trying to catch up. 1 Peter 5:8 says be sober and alert! Why? Satan is on the prowl looking for someone to devour. Shut him down. Stay Spirit led. Pray in the Spirit.
Know your enemy
The word tells us the enemy is crafty. He would love nothing more then to regain access or get you to believe you aren’t free when you really are so be prepared that he will use others to cause offense and make you feel rejected. Your body will respond and feel that initial hurt but this time you are ready. You take it immediately to the Father to process. You get a scripture and declare the truth breaking the lie that has come and you forgive, release and bless the person quickly.
Lastly, at the beginning I shared how the Lord began to open this up to me. Right now I want to give you what first poured out to me. Rejection in this life will either refine you or wound you as we see mirrored in the life of David and Saul.
There is a rejection from man that comes as a mark of who you are in Christ. It is one that under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, is used to refine you, to make you free of people pleasing and praise of man. It causes you to learn to chase Yahweh’s opinions, not mans. There is another rejection, that without the Holy Spirit, corrupts the mind and lens of the person and causes them to come under the bondage of people pleasing and praise of man. One is a gift, the other a torment.
Father, I lift up every single person who reads what you have given me to share. I pray the eyes of their understanding be opened. That they would have ears to hear and eyes to see truth. That they would hunger for your word and allow your truth to become their truth. May they put on you armor daily and be wise against the wiles of the enemy. I pray for every captive to be set free the blood of your precious Lamb Jesus and the sword of the Spirit. Heal the minds Lord and break the yokes of bondages as your people seek you in repentance releasing offenses and unforgiveness to you. Uproot all that defiles and lead to the paths of righteousness. I pray each one will seek to have the mind of Christ. We thank you Father for your love and care over each one and I pray deep within their truth becomes that they are accepted into the beloved.
In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen
Blessings and love to all,

We are in a very important season in the spirit realm. We are in the midst of a three week period where a lot takes place, in us, and around us. Maybe you have felt it already, maybe you have heard others wondering what is going on. First of all lets, look at the Hebrew month we are in and what that means.
We are in the 4th Hebrew month called Tammuz. Yes that’s right this month is named after the Babylonian demi-god. He was associated with shepherds. He was also the god of fertility that embodied the power of new life. We see Tammuz in the Bible in the book of Ezekiel. Ezekiel writes in chapter 8 verse 14 Then he brought me to the entrance of the north gate of the house of the Lord, and behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz.
The Israelite’s in the time of Ezekiel adopted many pagan beliefs one of which was about this false god Tammuz. They would weep because of his tragic death, which brought life to the world.
They kept the name they were use to in Babylonian captivity and the name stuck.
Many notable events occurred during this month.
Joseph was born and died on the 1st of Tammuz
Joshua stopped the sun (Joshua 10:1-15)
Ezekiel receives his vision of the chariot (Ezekiel 1:4-26)
Along with 5 great catastrophes in biblical history have happened on the 17th of Tammuz
Moses breaking the tablets at Mt. Sinai in response to the golden calf sin
Daily offerings cease when the priest could no longer get animal sacrifices due to the Babylonian armies
Walls breached just prior to the destruction of the temple by the Roman armies
The burning of the Torah by the Roman general Apostomus
An idolatrous image placed in the Holy Temple, an act of blasphemy and desecration
This month is linked with the sense of sight. Letting the light flood your eye.
22 “The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light,23 but if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!
24 “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.f]
We want to make sure during this time our eye, our sight, is healthy and full of light. We will talk more about that in a little bit.
Tammuz is also associated with the tribe of Reuben. His name means “I see a son, or a son that sees”
In Genesis Reuben had his birthright stripped because of some ill actions on his part.
3 Reuben, you are my firstborn, my might, and the firstfruits of my strength, preeminent in dignity and preeminent in power. 4 Unstable as water, you shall not have preeminence, because you went up to your father’s bed; then you defiled it—he went up to my couch!
Reubens mother was named Leah. She was said to have “weak” eyes.
17 Leah’s eyes were weak, but Rachel was beautiful in form and appearance.
This was not a medical condition. The Hebrew word “rak” means: tender, soft, delicate.
The rabbi’s teach her eyes were puffy and red because of all the crying she had done. It was know back then that there was supposed to be an arranged marriage between Esau and Leah, and Jacob and Rachel. Leah wept over this arrangement. Esau went and married other woman and changed this plan. Jacob loved Rachel and went to work for her father Laban. After 7 years of working he was tricked into marrying Leah. She realized she was not Jacob’s first love, and he had to be tricked into marrying her.
Genesis 29 states
31 When the Lord saw that Leah was hated, he opened her womb, but Rachel was barren.32 And Leah conceived and bore a son, and she called his name Reuben, for she said, “Because the Lord has looked upon my affliction; for now my husband will love me.”33 She conceived again and bore a son, and said, “Because the Lord has heard that I am hated, he has given me this son also.” And she called his name Simeon.
Did Reuben see the many tears of his mother and in spite defile his fathers bed, or could he just not control his lust?
In her weeping Leah’s vision was obscured, blurry.
There was redemption for Reuben. Moses reversed the curse on him in Deuteronomy 33
6 “Let Reuben live, and not die, but let his men be few.”
So even though many things point to this as a time of weeping and mourning it does also have a redemptive quality.
Tammuz a time to check your prophetic vision. We want light flooding into our eyes which means we need to dethrone idols in our heart. Notice in Matthew 6 it ties the light of the eye with not serving more than one master. It is a time to check your heart and remove anything that has taken the place of Adonai.
From Tammuz 17 to the 9th of Av is a three week time of pressing. It is a time when the heat gets turned up and spiritual warfare increases. We must PRESS to enter the promise. During this time what is in your heart will come out. Good and ugly. How will you deal with it? This is a time to press into the Lord and allow Him to help us cultivate our heart. Get rid of idols and sin. Repent. We must deal with anything ungodly in our heart this season.
This 3 week period is called Between the Straights or Dire Straights. A straight is a narrow passageway between two bodies of water or through a body of water. This is a difficult passageway, but one of extreme importance that we make our way through. There will be a squeezing that takes place in your life in this season.
The first day of this 3 week period and the last day are two fast mentioned in Zechariah 8:19
“Thus says the Lord of hosts: The fast of the fourth month and the fast of the fifth and the fast of the seventh and the fast of the tenth shall be to the house of Judah seasons of joy and gladness and cheerful feasts. Therefore love truth and peace.
See the redemptive quality I was talking about earlier. God does not want this to just be about judgement and destruction and mourning. This is a time period set apart to repent and ask for forgiveness for the things we allow in our lives that do not line up with the Holy Word of God.
The infamous 9th of Av
Av is an interesting, although not for good reasons, month. With it is a day that has brought destruction and exhile to the Jewish people for a long time.
The spies returned from their scouting mission into the Promised Land and 10 of the 12 gave an evil report filled with fear. Standing in doubt, they were slanderous of God’s Word and promise because He said He would go before them, fight their battles and deliver them into the land. Only Joshua and Caleb gave a report filled with faith. The Israelite’s were sentenced on the 9th of Av to wander in the wilderness for 40 years until that generation had died out. Only Joshua, and Caleb, were permitted to enter the Promised Land. (Num. 13-14)
The 1st Temple, Solomon’s Temple, was destroyed by the Babylonians in 586 BC. 100,000 Jews were slaughtered and millions more exiled. The tribes of Judah and Benjamin were carried captive to Babylon. The actual fire was set on the 9th of Av. (2 Kings 25:8-9; Jeremiah 52:12-13)
The 2nd Temple, Herod’s Temple, was destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD on the 9th of Av led by Titus. Some two million Jews died, and another one million were exiled. The Roman army laid siege to Jerusalem and on the 17th of Tammuz the Daily Sacrifice was again stopped. Roman centurions on the 9th of Av burned the Second Temple. The extreme heat of the fire caused gold of the Temple to melt and run into the cracks and crevices between the stones. When the fire cooled the Roman soldiers used wedges and crowbars to overturn every stone in their search for the gold. Luke 19:44 fulfilled. One year later on the 9th of Av the Romans plowed the Temple Mount and the city of Jerusalem to prepare the area to be turned into a Roman colony. Micah 3: 12 fulfilled
The Bar Kokhba revolt was crushed by Roman Emperor Hadrian. The city of Betar — the Jews’ last stand against the Romans was captured. Over 100,000 Jews were slaughtered. (135 AD) The Temple area and its surroundings were plowed under. Jerusalem was rebuilt as a pagan city — renamed Aelia Capitolina — and access was forbidden to Jews.
In 1290 King Edward I ordered the expulsion of all Jews from England on the 9th of Av.
During the Spanish Inquisition, Ferdinand and Isabella issued the Alhambra Decree, on March 31, 1492, ordering all Jews to leave Spain by the end of July 1492. Later was postponed until August 2nd. Aug 2nd, 1492 was Tisha B’Av (9th of Av). It was during this time August 3rd, one day later, that Christopher Columbus, who may himself have been of Jewish descent, left to ‘discover’ America.
They were forced out of their home in France on the 9th of Av
World War One broke out on the eve of Tisha B’Av in 1914 when Germany declared war on Russia. German resentment from the war set the stage for the Holocaust.
On the eve of Tisha B’Av 1942, the mass deportation began of Jews from the Warsaw Ghetto, en route to Treblinka. The beginning of the end of the Warsaw Ghetto coincided with Tisha B’Av. Indeed, it was the day of Tisha B’Av itself, July 23, 1942, that the first trainload of Jews arrived at their destination, Treblinka, and sent to the gas chambers. One year earlier, on July 31, 1941 (on the evening of the 8th of Av), Hermann Goring signed a document to implement the “final solution of the Jewish problem,” i.e. extermination.
On Tisha B’Av, August 14, 2005, 8,000 Jewish settlers were forcefully expelled from their homes in Gush Katif,
This did not all happen by coincidence. Can you see why this date is so important for the Jewish people, and why they mourn and repent and fast for 3 weeks leading up to this date.
Even though we are not all Jewish we are still affected by what is going on during this season. Take advantage of knowing the time and partner with God to get all you can out of this season.
Pay attention what is coming out of your heart during this squeezing
Cast down any idols in your life
Let the light of revelation fill your eye, cleanse your vision
Lift up your head
Pray and fast that as the heat gets turned up and spiritual warfare increases you do not get burned up but purified
Let your roar out. Av is associated with the lion. Amos 3:8
8 The lion has roared; who will not fear? The Lord God has spoken; who can but prophesy?
Let your roar out this season! Prophesy your promise.
Jesus said pray like this; Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy Kingdom Come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. ( Matt. 6)
Intimacy Protects us
Strongholds and Bondages can be built when we get stuck in partial truths and stop growing, when we stop hungering for more. When we stop seeking Him for new, for fresh. Of everything, fresh manna, fresh in-filling, fresh baptism, ect.
A fresh rhema word comes out of the logos word by the Spirit.
Strongholds and Bondage
A stronghold is a structure/fortress of thought, patterns of thinking. Intimacy in secret place keeps us in the fresh and new! Causing us to hunger and thirst for the written truth and the Spirit. The truth, whole truth, and nothing but the truth. If we have a wrong pattern of thinking on something or only a partial truth, our intimate walking with God makes room for this to be exposed and corrected. Entire religous systems and structures, even denominations have been built because someone settled in a revelation or movement and stopped pursuing the whole truth, the rest of the truth or they never checked with the Book of Truth. They eat a piece of bread but not the loaf.
Definition of Revelation
Revelation- a surprising and previously unknown fact, especially one that is made known in a dramatic way. “revelations about his personal life”
synonyms: disclosure, surprising fact, divulgence, declaration, utterance, announcement, report, news, leak; more the divine or supernatural disclosure to humans of something relating to human existence or the world. ( online dictionary)
Wineskins- Both old and new are Preserved
Never updating sound, environment, method, delivery, never updating, restoring, repairing, remodeling will cause an old structure void of the Fresh Life of the Spirit. We update & upgrade by our “daily bread/daily walking in the Spirit”. We keep the wine (Spirit) moving! 🍷Ever seen people swirl their wine, smell it, then taste? Move it, discern it, taste it! There must be movement, flowing, breathing of the wine.
What’s sealed (corked🍾 remains fresh for ages) We have Wine that has been sealed for ages! But that the Lord will unseal and pour!
Neither do people pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do, the skins will burst; the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.” Matt. 9:17
Food in our home
We have to eat daily bread, fresh manna! Not wanting to get stuck eating “yesterday’s manna” for it will eventually mold and cause our “house to be found with mold and mildew”. We will become sickly. Our “house” will become contaminated. 2 Cor. 5:1 ( WE) Our body is the house in which our spirit lives here on earth.
Climate, temperature, atmosphere are effected and changed by His Presence. Our environment makes a difference in our lives. For good or bad.
When His Presence leaves the climate changes. Where the Spirit is quenched the rain does not fall. When prophecy is absent, life will drain from a place. Prophetic words like rhema is full of Life and Spirit, breathed upon by Ruach Hokodesh. The Breath of the Spirit of the Living God brings life.
Mold & Mildew occur from wrong moisture and temperatures. Hot or cold lukewarm brings stagnation.
So because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to vomit you out of My mouth! Rev. 3:16 (BSB)
We need His Presence! We need His seasons and all they bring!
The old testament priests deemed homes unclean and requiring emptying and restoration in the old testament.
33 The Lord told Moses and Aaron to say to the people: 34 After I have given you the land of Canaan as your permanent possession, here is what you must do, if I ever put mildew on the walls of any of your homes. 35 First, you must say to a priest, “I think mildew is on the wall of my house.” 36 The priest will reply, “Empty the house before I inspect it, or else everything in it will be unclean.” 37 If the priest discovers greenish or reddish spots that go deeper than the surface of the walls, 38 he will have the house closed for seven days. 39 Then he will return and check to see if the mildew has spread. 43 If the mildew appears a second time, 44 the priest will come and say, “This house is unclean. It’s covered with mildew that can’t be removed.” 45 Then he will have the house torn down and every bit of wood, stone, and plaster hauled off to an unclean place outside the town. 46 Meanwhile, if any of you entered the house while it was closed, you will be unclean until evening.
If the house if found clean. There is a test of evidence. The symbolism here with the Blood of Christ and the Holy Spirit’s descending like a bird is beautiful reminder of our New Testament Grace. Born again, spirit-filled believers have been cleansed and sealed. Stewardship of that is a matter of obedience.
49 Then, to show that the house is now clean, he will get two birds, a stick of cedar wood, a piece of red yarn, and a branch from a hyssop plant and bring them to the house. 50 He will kill one of the birds over a clay pot of spring water 51-52 and let its blood drain into the pot. Then he will dip the cedar, the hyssop, the yarn, and the other bird into the mixture of blood and water. Next, he will sprinkle the house seven times with the mixture, then the house will be completely clean. 53 Finally, he will release the bird and let it fly away, ending the ceremony for purifying the house. 54-57 These are the things you must do if you discover that you are unclean because of an itch or a sore, or that your clothing or house is unclean because of mildew. ( Lev. 14)
Jesus gave his life and shed His own blood for our cleansing, sent His word to wash us and build us even giving us a Helper to understand the Master Craftsman’s plan for our ‘house’. We are saved by grace through faith. We continue on in obedience. Obedience includes the upkeep or maintaining our home, our life.
Jesus said Eat My flesh and Drink My Blood This we do this symbolically in remembrance with Communion. But we do daily in relationship.
Coming from the written word spoken, Logos becomes rhema. Yesterday’s revelation TRUTH digested becomes the nutrition I need to go and search for my bread today. What you eat yesterday is fueling your body today.
31 The people of Israel called the bread manna. It was white like coriander seed and tasted like wafers made with honey. 32 Moses said, “This is what the Lord has commanded: ‘Take an omer of manna and keep it for the generations to come, so they can see the bread I gave you to eat in the wilderness when I brought you out of Egypt.’” 33 So Moses said to Aaron, “Take a jar and put an omer of manna in it. Then place it before the Lord to be kept for the generations to come.” 34 As the Lord commanded Moses, Aaron put the manna with the tablets of the covenant law, so that it might be preserved. 35 The Israelites ate manna forty years, until they came to a land that was settled; they ate manna until they reached the border of Canaan. Ex. 16:31- 35
A Preserved Source
Revelation/Truth does not become outdated. Manna is preserved from generations to generations. We put “manna” with the tablets. We take the daily bread with the tablets”. The New Testament revealed is the Old Testament concealed. Manna+tablets. Matt. 5:17, Jesus said, “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. It is awesome when we get revelation in the Word, causing reviving and quickening to our spirit man to come ALIVE, be energized. This is because we just ate! We do like to eat! Eating truth brings us life! We never let go of TRUTH, but we let the Spirit of God breath, Ruach upon the truth and bring it alive again and again, causing fresh manna to be fed to nourish us.
I am not speaking of some crazy left-field something that cannot be backed by the written word. I am speaking of God revealing the truth hidden in His Word to us personally. Feeding the manna from Heaven to us by His Spirit. Feasting upon who He is, the Bread of Presence. Drinking of His Well of Living Water, being filled with the wine of His Spirit. We are to hunger for the Word and Thirst for the Spirit. Blessed are they that hunger and thirst shall be filled. Just because you have never heard or seen it does not mean it’s false. How can you apply what you do not understand or how can you eat what you do not recognize? The Word is layered with revelation food. Numbers, symbols, parables all have meaning. Hidden riddles, types, and foreshadows are like hidden manna.
To refuse or be “fearful” of new due to there being a false out there is to be cowardly and slothful. Study requires work and effort, but we are to be disciples of Christ. God has commanded us to seek! Seek ye first the Kingdom of God. Remembering and holding fast to the anchor that revelation must be land upon a foundation of written truth.
Revelation builds like truths needing a landing zone. Brick and mortar, with wisdom being the principal (foundation) thing, understanding cementing it in, revelation adds heighth to walls and joints truths building. Build your house.
If you can’t prove it in the Word, Run! Be diligent to seek and find, not ignore or refuse.
However we should expect revelation of what is written to come to us personally, even as we go through the ages coorporately, not building doctrines and denominations on one piece of bread, only having part. This is how we have many “denominations/divisions” someone settled on a piece of bread, revelation and built doctrine out of it.
Doctrine is a belief or set of beliefs held by an individual or group. The only ‘doctrine’ kingdom believers want is that which is already written by Jesus the Christ and spoken through His apostles. But we need the Ruach breath of the Spirit to blow upon that doctrine and give understanding to us so that we apply it to building our lives. Otherwise we become religous. This is partly why Jesus sent the Holy Spirit.
The truth will set us free, but to believe we all have ALL the truth and stop digging, excavating truth from the Book of Truth with the Spirit of Truth is just going to make us ignorant.
Don’t get stuck eating dry toast out of fear of something new, living in an environment void of Presence, or stagnate and lukewarm.
Examine with Evidence of Word
Don’t accept something new without checking with that Always New beautiful Written Truth that still lives and speaks today! Anchor yourselves as you seek! Learn to dig. Learn to plow, learn to reap the goodness of God!
What you eat & drink, how you move, and where you live determines who you are. Build you, build your house, build your environment. We do this we become Kingdom Builders advancing the Kingdom. We effect our environment by what we carry or our environment effects us. Sadly, many become a product of their environment at an early age then remain stuck with that inside of them. The children of Israel came out of Egypt, but then needed to get Egypt out of them.
For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Rom. 14:17
But seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you. Matt. 6:33
What all these things? The provisions, the natural things needed, because when He has your attention, you have His. What Love!
What’s happening Now, I hear a sound, the Prophetic Revolution Rising, and shaking the ground!
There is a lot of rumbling going on, the kingdoms are shaking now, the winds are blowing and more are AWAKENING! Wombs and Tombs are contracting now! Call forth, empty them where movement is found!
As the wind blows and the earth shakes, contractions bring sounds and releasing. And much will be moved, repositioned, transitioned, even seem displaced.
Kingdom clashes of power and might become like a showdown in the realm of the spirit, as the enemy throws down his rod arrogantly to threaten and intimidate, the King of GLORY throws down His rod to raise and deliver!
The stakes are raising, and values being appraised as many awaken and examine that which is taking place! Epic showdowns for those with eyes to see, but get ready all you who have been on your knees; for the Almighty is about to make some moves, and religion and fears He will confuse, for He has a plan and laborers ready to go, but strategic placement is something every good General knows!
There is no earthly playbook nor sound for alarm for this is the Kings inheritance Hes taking with arms! Waste no time and beg no pardon, for the way He will move is not to be LACED with religous jargon!
An entire generation held captive by Baal and those in forced prisons lured away by witchcraft–will begin to shake and make AWAKENING moves, sneezes and coughs and arousing in the hour as God begins to display His mighty power.
Move out of the way you passive types for gone are the ways of hindering the gates. Prophets have been hidden away in secret caves a sound of revival and such a great praise will cause a mountain ascending to be seen in these days. The epic of showdowns being strategized now, who will lap the waters and who will be the fount. The All Consuming One will show with Fierce Blaze, for this is a move only the Heavens can make!
A marked generation yet to be found they will finish the fight as they throw her down! With cries for righteous and holy ways there are thousands upon thousands of youth who will storm the gates. Never has the likes of any been seen, for these were counted out while they were asleep!
Woe to those with fingers who point, for Jehovah with oil will come to appoint, the misfits, the lost, and the broken who sing, With the God of Elijah we call for our King! Horses trampling, increasing hooves sounds, the PROPHETIC REVOLUTION will mark this showdown.
Suffer the little ones not Jesus said to the crowd, for out of the mouth of babes, HEAVEN Speaks the profound. The seed that crushes the serpents head will be sons and daughters appearing as dead. Up from the ASHES like clanking bones, will stand a Mighty Army in Christ Alone!

On the King’s Record
The Holy Spirit works progressively both in our individual lives and corporately. We often find ourselves in a place of not knowing what God is doing or when He will bring specific things to pass. There are multiple words and phrases used throughout the Bible for “time”. Personally the more I come to understand that God moves in times and seasons the easier I rest.
Fullness of time
But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. Gal. 4:4-5
A fullness of time is a time when things have been added together, or summed up. It is the time when the time has become full. Time collects, adds, gathers to itself.
God had already pre-planned a time of redemption for humanity. There had been prophecies and stories foretold about the coming Messiah, the Anointed One, who would come to save mankind.
Most prophecies, promises, even miracles and healings are progressive; meaning they happen over time. Deliverances individually and corporately can be progressive, making progress as time continues to add up.
Christ came when He did in part due to prophecies that were due to come to pass, it was time. In Daniel there are passages written speaking of the 70 years. ( Seventy weeks= Seven years)
“Seventy weeks are determined For your people and for your holy city, To finish the transgression, To make an end of sins, To make reconciliation for iniquity, To bring in everlasting righteousness, To seal up vision and prophecy, And to anoint the Most Holy.
“Know therefore and understand, That from the going forth of the command To restore and build Jerusalem Until Messiah the Prince, There shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; The street shall be built again, and the wall, Even in troublesome times. Dan. 9:24-25
Abraham and Sarah had been promised by God that they would conceive and have a child. Time passed on and turned to years. They tried to take the promise into their own hands, but at the appointed time, the promise was brought to pass.
The Lord kept his word and did for Sarah exactly what he had promised. She became pregnant, and she gave birth to a son for Abraham in his old age. This happened at just the time God had said it would. Gen. 21:1-2
Everything has a time
For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven. Eccl. 3:1
Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end. Eccl. 3:11
Beauty in Time
A time to be born and a time to die. A time to plant and a time to harvest. Eccl.3:2
In Psalms 90, David cried out to God to teach us to number our days, that we may gain wisdom in our hearts and see the works of our hands established.
And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Gal. 6:9
There is a “due time”, a time to reap that which has been sown. A time for the promise to come to pass, and the prophecy to be fulfilled. Don’t give up and don’t give out for there is a season when you are due!
It is already “due to you” if you do not faint. Keep believing and speaking in faith that You might see all that God has spoken and promised to you come to fruition.
