4 For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope and overflow with confidence in His promises.5 Now may the God who gives endurance and who supplies encouragement grant that you be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus, 6 so that with one accord you may with one voice glorify and praise and honor the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
As I got up this morning and had my time at Jesus’s feet. I ran across the verses in Romans 15. The verses stood out to me talking about how the word of God is to give us instructions on how to live. Then I kept reading and the word endurance popped out to me.
according to Dictionary.com endurance means:
The ability or strength to continue or last especially despite fatigue, stress, etc.
I get to verse 5 and read the words “Now may the God who gives endurance and who supplies encouragement…” When I read that I got up to praise the Lord, Realizing that God gives us the ability and strength to keep going! Despite how we feel, He will always be right there encouraging us to keep moving.
I have been going through a lot of transitioning! With going through all this change I realized I needed to learn how to catch my thoughts. The enemy was having a hay day with me for a few weeks. Then I finally broke and asked the Lord what is going on with me. He began to talk to me about where I tend to put my identity. A light bulb went off in my head and I was very thankful for that revelation the Lord gave me. But with going through a “mind battle” for weeks at a time can be very exhausting. So when I made time to get in the Word, I was lead to Romans 15. The Lord was telling me that no matter how I feel or what I am going through that He will give me the ability and strength to keep pressing on!
Praise the Lord for His word of encouragement!
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You so much for teaching us Your truth! No matter how we feel, or the battles we go through the truth is your always with us! Thank You for letting us cast our burdens on You. Thank You for never leaving us or forsaking us. Help us walk according to your Word. When we come to you as Your child in need, we know with everything in us that You will encourage us, teach us, and guide us! Thank you Father for everything we have and everything we are through You. We ask for spiritual wisdom and understanding for all the days to come. As we put on the helmet of salvation to protect our thoughts from the enemy we stand tall meditating on Your truth! ( Eph. 6- helmet of salvation)
“One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek Him in His temple.” Psalm 27:4
In Jesus name, Amen

👉 the Word of God 👈
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
2 Timothy 1:7
For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.
Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
“I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help? My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel Shall neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD is your keeper; The LORD is your shade at your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, Nor the moon by night. The LORD shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. The LORD shall preserve your going out and your coming in From this time forth, and even forevermore.”
Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him
The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.
Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.
